The Booster Shot

Quick start your life! Well, give it a little boost, one that will inspire you to take the steps necessary to push you toward your goals.  We always have an idea of what we need to do to get things done - lose weight = eat less + move more, wealth=spend less than you earn etc…and there is certainly an overwhelming amount of information on how to achieve your goals.  Did I say overwhelming?  So here you go, a quick, clean boost - The Booster Shot:
Smile: yes, just stop for a second and smile, feel good about you and your desire to kick it up a notch.

Take a Deep Breath: most of the time we are not getting enough oxygen, this leads to anxiety, irritability and added stress. Start to become aware of your breathing, taking some deeper breaths gives your body some much needed fresh oxygen. Inhale 2-3-4. Exhale 2-3-4.

Say Thank You: everything is NOT going wrong, so start to say thanks for all that is, good-hey, you got up this morning, your family members(the ones you like) are great, your friends (ok, except her-she’s too much) etc… Start there.

Identify Your Goals: no pressure here, just make a list of what you want, it can be as big as a whole new career or as small as that bag you saw last week in the store.  It does not matter, just make the list.  As a guideline, this site is about YOU so, The Perfect Guy, that particular item, you can  save that for  another list.

Now Pick One & Make a Sub-List(yes I am list happy, mostly because I believe in being organized): ask yourself what would it take to achieve this goal, write down everything that comes to mind-negative thoughts such as, I don’t have the money, time, car, support etc…ignore them please and just go for it.  Example? Ok, MY goal is, I want women to be prepared and empowered for whatever life throws at them, my sub-list consists of: start a blog that people like and find useful, interview the women I know that have pushed hard for their life, etc…

Take Action: surely there is something on that sub-list that you can do first, then second etc…you are trying to build momentum and confidence here.  The feeling of achieving something can set in motion a chain of events that leads you  to your goal.  So start moving! The sooner you cross off the sub-list items the sooner you will be crossing off the actual goal. YEAH!

Stay Focused:  usually the moment when you start to feel discouraged and want to give up  arrives, you are closest to achieving your goal and that is the moment when YOU MUST KEEP GOING!  Take a breath, remember why you are working so hard at this and understand that giving up should not be an option. You can always break things down into smaller steps…but YOU MUST KEEP GOING!

Are Congratulations in Order?: You get congratulations and a pat on the back for getting past the last step.  That is the ultimate goal really, to become the person who arrives at their destination…always.  Even if you change your goals along the way…GET THERE!

Next Goal, NOW REPEAT: Achieving your goals can become a habit, a wonderful habit with incredible benefits…increased self-confidence, increased self-respect, increased integrity…all good things to build and of course you get whatever you want!
REMEMBER: I DO NOT MAKE GUARANTEES! I PROVIDE GUIDELINES AND SUPPORT!  THE OUTCOME IS UP TO YOU LADIES! GO! DO! BE!

SHE SHOULD KNOW™ THAT WITH SOME ORGANIZATION, HARD WORK & PERSEVERANCE SHE CAN HAVE ANYTHING* SHE WANTS

*this is my gentle disclaimer where I remind you that while this approach works for most things, your “anything” may be the exception, so keep it real.

  • This is just right for the once-fiercely organized, goal-setting, systematic accomplishing, currently [not quite post-]TSD-tested reader like myself.
Your awesome active-mode delivery of clear directives makes the neatly distinctive tiers even more approachable, digestible, and so attended: this will be a terrific aide to a giant leap forward and up and out of a sphere stacked high with slovenly conflicting commands. Imagine the breaths not taken for panic at lapses that I'm starting to remember are status quo in [arenas thus typically avoided, now engaged]. Last week, resulting cumulative losses started to make sense. I reset my objective, jotted down goals, tasks. Actionable: clearer conveyance, quiet of clamor. I'll hit send on more emails to my lawyer, but maybe only once I've got [a seasoned pro] ready for my-objective-serving goals' action.
(Courtesies are my bread and butter and adequate-sleep equivalents, and powerful stuff. Thanks for the reminder: I should avail myself more, of all three key resources.)
